Playground Renovations Set for Stone Harbor

A couple of Stone Harbor landmarks are set for a refresh this year, as Jenny Olson, the Director of Tourism for Stone Harbor announced significant renovations to the 97th and 82nd Street playgrounds. The main goal of this project is to bring in new, improved features catering to youth of varying ages and abilities.

The renovations will begin with the 97th Street playground with a focus on becoming an inclusive play area. The sensory dome will be central to the new equipment, aimed to provide an engaging experience for children with diverse needs.

82nd Street playground is also in the pipeline. As the Borough awaits the arrival of the new equipment, there will be outdoor games and activities set up for visitors to enjoy throughout the summer season.

As the renovations take shape, Stone Harbor residents and visitors can continue to enjoy Chelsea Park playground, and stay tuned for progress updates!
