7 Mile Beach Tag Information: Everything You Need to Know for 2025

It’s almost beach tag season on the 7 Mile Island, and that means it’s time to secure your spot in the sand. Whether you’re planning a full summer or just a few relaxing days, seasonal beach tags are officially on sale at the pre-season price - and they’re good across both towns.

A quick FYI for Avalon beachgoers: The Borough has announced a sand backpassing project to restore eroded beaches on the north end (9th through 15th streets). Work will take place overnight through June and beach access may be temporarily restricted in active zones. If you’re planning an early season visit, stay informed and check for daily updates by clicking here.

Avalon and Stone Harbor beaches offer 7 miles of wide shoreline, well-maintained beach paths, and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for families, early-morning walkers, and sun-chasers alike. With a reciprocal agreement in place between both towns, one tag gives you access to both. Here’s what you need to know before the summer hits.
