🎨 Remember Winifred Rumble's charming portraits? Winnie was a memorable sight for those who frequented Springer's Ice Cream in the early '80s. As families lined up for a sweet treat, she'd beautifully capture the youthful smiles on canvas right from the porch.
Winnie, a beloved artist from Pennsylvania passed away in 2012, but her legacy in Stone Harbor lives on in every stroke, every smile, every portrait. Her connection to the art world started in childhood and expanded as she hosted in-home sittings and portrait sessions at the Wanamakers in Wilmington, DE. Winnie was known for her fast study pastel likenesses which can be found in many homes, including some on our own island!
Do you remember Winnie? Or better yet, do you have one of her unique portraits adorning your home? We're preparing a tribute to this remarkable woman and her lasting connection to our community.
