Exciting news for Sea Isle City - a new splash of green is coming to the local shopping scene. Petals and Plants, founded by the green-thumbed Cate Gallagher, is opening its doors at 5011 Landis Avenue.

Nestled in a bustling business district, and surrounded by popular spots including the Fractured Prune, Azzura’s, La Fontana Coast, and Mallon’s, this unique store is set to become the go-to store for plant lovers and floral enthusiasts.

Why Petals and Plants?

What sparked this new storefront? Cate’s lifelong passion for gardening was fostered at a young age by her mother’s love for the hobby. From tending her own greenhouse offshore to growing fresh-cut flowers, Cate wanted to turn her hobby into a business. With nothing quite like it in the area, and positioned in a high foot traffic location, Petals and Plants is poised to thrive.

What's In Store?

The shop will feature a variety of indoor house plants, both hanging and potted, along with all the essentials needed to nurture them. For those who love a personal touch, the store will offer a fresh-cut flower bar where customers can pick their own flowers or grab a pre-made bouquet. Beyond plants, the shop is stocked with an assortment of gift items, from hostess and thank you gifts to decorative home goods.

Petals and Plants is all about creating experiences. Moving forward into the season, Cate plans to host workshops including build-your-own bouquets, pot painting, and crafting. Psst - as wedding and Communion season is approaching, Petals and Plants is ready with flower crowns, bouquets, and more!

Grand Opening & Hours

Petals and Plants is set to officially open on Friday, May 3 at noon.

Summer hours will begin daily at 10am, and likely run to 8pm to catch the full gamut of foot traffic from breakfast to browsers, lunch, and dinner crowds.

Catch Petals and Plants every Tuesday this summer at the Sea Isle Farmers Market from 8am to noon.

For the offseason, the store will shift its focus to workshops and seasonal items, including succulent pumpkin making, winter wreaths, and holiday gifts.
