Ladies, this weekend is meant for shopping! Avalon stores and boutiques are not only open post Labor Day, but they are open with steals, deals, and major discounts. Enjoy shopping seasonal favorites for clothing, accessories, home decor, and more, and even spot some new winter merch.

Music With Friends Benefit Concert
Saturday, Sept. 16, 4-8pm at The Whitebrier
Head to the Whitebrier for a Saturday evening concert for a great cause. Local musicians donate their time and talent to raise funds for one of local non-profit organizations, Friend In Need. Enjoy drink specials, food, and great music featuring the Poetic Champions, Gordon Vincent, Marnie & Nate, Parker Lengle, and Dan Barry. Admission is a $10 donation.
Diner En Blanc, Stone Harbor
Friday, Sept. 22, 6-9pm on 96th Street
Join the Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce for its annual Dinner en Blanc celebrating the eve of the Savor September Festival. Wear your best whites, bring your own (white) table and decor, an-d enjoy a fall evening dining al fresco. Tables are $150 for up to 10 people. Smaller parties are $25/person.

HurriKanens Kids Fun Color Run/Walk
Saturday, Sept. 23, 9am beginning at Avalon Community Hall
Enjoy this fun and easy untimed course with the entire family! This traditional color run features a prizes and t-shirts and a little bit of a (colorful) mess as you travel through the course. Enjoy music and activities post run, and support another great local nonprofit, HurriKanens Kids.
Savor September Wine, Food, & Beer Festival
Saturday, Sept. 23, Noon-8pm on 96th Street
Following Stone Harbor’s Dinner En Blanc return for Saturday’s fall festival that savors all things fall. This annual event features artisan vendors, local food vendors and restaurant pop-ups, kid’s activities, and live music. Oh, and of course, beer and wine from the best local vineyards and breweries.

Kindle’s Oktoberfest
Sunday, Oct. 1, Noon-6pm at Kindle Ford
Enjoy a number of food vendors, local boutiques, and county beer and wine vendors for this fun, annual fall event.
Avalon Arts & Seafood Festival
Saturday, Oct. 7, 10am-5pm at Surfside Park (Rain date: October 8, 10am-5pm)
Seafood lovers, this is your time! Avalon’s Arts & Seafood Festival is an annual tradition and a must-stop for fresh seafood, great live music, and some shopping from artists and a variety of vendors. Be sure to bring the kids to enjoy Surfside Park and a number of activities throughout the day. And fear not, you won’t miss any college football, it’ll be streaming live in the Sound Advice Lounge - where you can also grab a refreshing beverage.
Olde Tyme Harvest Festival
Saturday, Oct. 28, 10am-5pm on Mechanic Street (Rain date: October 29, Noon to 5pm)
This annual fall-themed event is a combination of a carnival and street fair, featuring carnival rides, live music, craft vendors, food trucks, and more.
Avalon’s Trunk or Treat
Saturday, Oct. 28, 5-7pm at Surfside Park
From Descendants to Zombies, and everything in between - this is one of the most well-attended Halloween events in the county. All cars must be in the Surfside Park parking lot by 4:30pm, and trick-or-treating will begin at 5pm. Enjoy music, treats, and activities for the kids throughout the evening!
